Cause and Effect of World War II
Cause and Effect of World War II (How it started and how it ended)
During World War II there were many cause that the contributed to the war. The unbalanced Treaty Of Versailles (which was used to crippling Germany in the first world war) And the Great Depression that was developing during the 1930’s. These conditions had formed the background against which Adolf Hitler could take control of the Germany Chancellor in the 1930’s.
Most historians of the Second World War agree that Hitler’s rise to power was the reason on why World War II had started. But at the same time most of Hitler’s rise to power had to deal with the promises to restore German Honor. The peace agreement forced Germany to accept full responsibility of the First World War and created a major system of reparation payments to help restore areas in Belgium and France that were devastated during the War. The Treaty of Versailles also required Germany to having military restrictions which only allowed them to operate on the defensive side of the military. Many Germans found this unreasonable.
During the 1930’s Hitler broke a rule in the Treaty of Versailles Germany started to produce military vehicles and weapons. German men also joined a flying club that was a cover up for training military piolets.
Hitler’s explanations for the defeat of the First World War was blamed on the Jews on who Hitler hated. Hitler’s plan for his empire was to have pure blond hair and blue eyed. Hitler had broken the Treaty of Versailles but this was in the 1930’s when the Great Depression was happening so Britain, France and the United States were dealing with their own troubles and were too busy to check on Hitler’s expansionism without real evidence of his ultimate intentions.
Later on we learned that Hitler’s intentions revolved around the military conquest of Europe from the center of the nation to the outskirts. The conquest Began when Germany Invaded Poland in 1939 and then the attack on France. Hitler’s quest for “more living space” for his empire had led to the invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941. By March of 1942, Hitler’s desire to conquer Europe with the help of Japan which pushed a crossed East Asia and the Pacific. This created the Second World War and would end up lasting nearly six years and costed more than 50 million live soldiers and civilians.
