Nuremburg Trials
The Nuremberg trials were held for the purpose of bringing Nazi war criminals to justice, the Nuremberg trials consisted of 13 trails that took place in Nuremberg, Germany between 1945 and 1949. The defendants during the trails were the Nazi party officials and high ranking military officers along with German industrialists, lawyers and doctors were indicted on crimes against humanity. The Nazi leader Adolf Hitler committed suicide and was never brought to trial. The Nuremberg trials are now regarded as a milestone toward the establishment of a permanent international court.
